The outside temperature has become a little cooler. It’s been a while since I gardened. Today, the wind was blowing, so I stopped mowing (because the mowed grass was scattered in the neighborhood) and mowed the ”Southern garden”.

before
after

I also bought potted flowers. It is a group planting. They are “Celosia”, “Zinnia” (2 types) and “Oregano Margherita”, prepared in pink.

Lined it up with Zinnia.

I “haircut” the grouped plants of ”Eremophila nivea”, ”Lysimachia” and ”Salvia”.

By the way, there were a couple of interesting things on the green roof.

The “Hydrangea-Tinkerbell” that I bought in May was transplanted to the green roof in June

This Hydrangea cut the first flower and transplanted it, and it started to bloom again in August.

The other is an unidentified flower that bloomed (lol).

I don’t know where this flower seed came from. It blooms in 3 places. Behind this flower, purple flowers have also bloomed on the garden herb (Micromelia fulticosa).

”Cosmos sulphureus” flowers have bloomed.

Looking at last year’s post, it seems that it has been blooming since November 25th.

We mowed the grass roof for an hour in the evening without missing the clear sky during the rainy season. (Sweaty)

I could’nt resist the rain Yesterday, the day before yesterday, It’s gardening after a little clear time.

Planted 3 colors Zinnia in 123 pots. Top of the “antique postcard holder” seeing right side ,Sage is growing. Brachyscome cherish” which planted in the middle of the “holder” has weakened, so I transplanted under the “yamaboushi – Dogwood” at the south garden.See next photo…
It seems rooted, lucky!
The post of June 3rd, I think these were buds, but these were seeds.
Like this. Planting on the North east little garden.
Yamaboushi – Dogwood – Cornus kousa – is full in blooms. Last year’s earthquake and heavily rain continued, so I don’t really remember whether the flowers bloomed.I was thrilled whether it would bloom this year, but it is in full bloom.
Correctly, it is said to be a bract(flower root leaf). The leaves are gradually becoming whiter. The leaf will be whiter and whiter. I like its color and its shape.
The grass roof without pinch. Remove thatched grass and trimmed.
This is the tool. RYOBI Clippers AB-1120(width110mm). It is little noisy, but works well.

I have to systematically use my paid vacation. So, let’s gardening! Just like the combination of the blindfold net I installed the other day, it is a challenge to blindfold even with flowers. The following plants were purchased.

  • Gaura Iindheimeri
  • Garden Harb (Micromeria Fruticosa)
  • Tea Harb(Lippia dulcis)
  • Thyme Silver
  • Rudbeckia Sahara
  • Daucus-Carota
  • Painted-Sage
  • Hydrangea Tinkerbell (Purchased about half a month ago)
Rightside of discription”Micromeria Fruticosa” is Carex(large grown). Hiding in Carex is “Snapdragon”. There are “Dichondra” and “Oxalis” that cover the whole.Hydrangea will be a blindfold if it grows up by next year.
On the right side of the new arrival “Rudbeckia Sahara” is “Mexican hat”. It is a unique existence. Mini rose to the left of Sahara and “Cosmos atrosanguineus” to the left. The dark green ones are the ”Calamintha” that are scattered here and there. Below the “Sahara” are “White clover” and “Snapdragon”. The dead lawn is currently recovering.
I want “Tea herbs” to spread。In the upper left is a small bloom of “Marigold”, which has proliferated last year.(Spilled species) On the left side of the photo is “Gypsophila” planted in the first year of the greenroof.
The view seen from inside the room. How blind will the planted plant be?

Full view of the window through the green roof(Excellent open feeling!) So, I put a gardening net outside the window as a blindfold. So, I put a gardening net outside the window as a blindfold. It took about a week to procure materials, prepare the ground, and install the gardening net.

It’s a twine net. This time, cut it in half (0.9m x 3.6m) and use it.
“Sudare hanger”. Any material can be used as a starting point. A picture after installation will appear later.
These are purchased at the home center. Use on both ends of the net.
Aluminum round pipe 1m.
Strings for gardening. Green is cool.

Below is the installation status.

First, attach the ”Sudare hanger” in two places. In my case, there was a sunshade box, so I installed it there. I think it can be a window frame.
Hang the twine net on the Sudare hanger. And I also hook 1m of aluminum pipe at the same time. Adjust the spacing of the Sudare hangers appropriately.
Tie the top corner of the twine net to the aluminum pipe with twine.
By the way, this is bamboo purchased at a home center. The length is 1.8m, so it’s not enough. I use it by connecting with twine.
Lean with a rough feeling.
Hang the upper part with a string.
The tip of this bamboo is sharply cut, so insert it firmly into the green roof. (Do not damage the irrigation pipe in the ground.)
Fix it with a twine string so that the seams of the bamboo do not wobble. This time, I will look at the situation at two places, and if there is a wobble, I will make three places.
Two bamboos are installed at both ends of the twine net.
Secure the twine net to the bamboo on both ends.
The final finish. What’s this?
Fix the wire through the W ring to the earth retaining (L-shaped stainless steel single-sided punching metal) on the eaves of the roof.
Connect the twine net here with a rope. (Insurance to prevent flying away due to a typhoon)
Like this.
Two morning glories were planted on the eastern net.
These two types are on the west side. I hope these morning glories grow quickly.
